The Secondary Dance program follows up on the learning acquired at the elementary level. Bodily communication, fun, risk taking, physical ability and well-being are all gateways to dance. Encouraged to go through various experiences on the affective, cognitive, psychomotor, social and aesthetic levels, the students learn to use their bodies to express, through movement, their ideas and their personal world-views.  Gradually, they become aware of their creative power and qualities as performers and viewers.

The Secondary Dance program involves the development of two complementary and interdependent competencies.

  • Creates dances - Performs dances
  • Appreciates dances
